The HERO 56 formula contains wear resistant chromium borides and carbides. It is a self-fluxing alloy with superb deposition characteristics. A very hard alloy with exceptional corrosion and abrasion resistance, HERO 56 is designed for hardfacing engine valves, extrusion and conveyor screws, and scraper blades. It has better impact resistance and is less crack sensitive than HERO 60.

APPLICATIONS

Plastics industry extrusion screws, shafts & sleeves. Food processing conveyor screws & scraper blades. Engine valves.

TECHNICAL

- Has a lower crack sensitivity than Hero 60

- Should not be applied to base metals which will be tempered

or hardened
