HERO 20 is unbeatable in applications involving severe abrasion but low mechanical or thermal shock. It features a high volume fraction of carbide within the cobalt/chromium matrix, and is strengthened by tungsten, to defeat wear in applications such as pump sleeves and bearing sleeves, high pressure valve seats and wear pads.

APPLICATIONS

Petrochemical control valves, marine engine valve components, steel mill rolls, homogenizer valve components & centerless grinder work rests.

TECHNICAL

- Bonds well to all weldable steels and stainless

- Corrodes mainly by a pitting mechanism and not by general mass loss in seawater and chloride solutions. The typical electrode potential in sea water at room temperature is approximately -0.3 V (SCE).
